Veterans Remember the Days of Operation Dynamo

Three veterans from the Westcountry, all in their 90s, have returned from France after reliving the horrors of an operation which changed the course of war. The three were among a dwindling number of soldiers, sailors and airmen who took part in Operation Dynamo, which saw 340,000 British and French troops rescued from the jaws of a German attack on the beaches of Dunkirk between May 27 and June 7 1940.

Creamery's Pounds 3.2m Investment to Start Making Green Cheese

North Cornwall's Davidstow Creamery is to invest Pounds 3.2 million in two biomass boilers which will result in annual cost savings of up to Pounds 800,000 a year. The Dairy Crest-owned creamery, based near Camelford, received a Pounds 1 million grant from the South West Regional Development Agency through the South West Bioheat Programme to allow the scheme, which costs Pounds 4.2 million, to go ahead.

45 Jobs Are Created As Grill and Bar Opens

A new restaurant is due to open today in Exeter's Princesshay shopping centre. The opening of the Coal Grill and Bar has created 45 jobs. The team is headed up by general manager Suzie Lucking with group executive chef Antonio Dias overseeing the kitchen for the first few months.
