R ick and Kym Finney are indulging in a second childhood. It's an idyllic one, off the beaten track in a Tamar Valley haven where the fictional adventures of Rupert the Bear, The Famous Five and Little Red Riding Hood are within a whisper of reality.

The trappings of a bygone age and the natural riches of the countryside are all around them, with foxes and badgers, rabbits and buzzards among their frequently-spotted neighbours. There are milk churns in the yard, oil lamps hanging by the door, logs ready to burn, tea and cake to scoff, sausages to roast on the campfire and - because they are grown-ups really - a glass of wine or two to share beneath the stars.
