What do I mean by this? Well, since 2008 banks in general have been squeezing finance for businesses, making it hard for new firms and running a mile from innovative companies. Add to this the growing demand for personal guarantees and a reluctance to use the Government-backed Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme and you have a very unhelpful situation for entrepreneurs in the UK.
