Summary
Frank Richards (fl: 1892-1925) specialised in painting watercolours of landscapes and figurative subjects, but there is scant information to be found about the man, and even his dates are not known. The first mention about him appears in 1883 but as he lived at various locations in the country, it would suggest he found inspiration for his work from his surroundings, and liked moving.
Moving from city to the countryside and then back again he did more than once, as seen from his first known address of Birmingham, but he moved from here to Lulworth, Dorset, by 1885 and to Newlyn in Cornwall in 1892. Having enjoyed the countryside for a while, he was then found living in London in 1897 but returned to more leafy surroundings of Wareham in Dorset in 1902, before finally settling in Bournemouth in 1917.See the full content of this document
