I WAS concerned to read in the Western Morning News that Andrew George is being attacked by the Council of the Isles of Scilly for consulting the residents of Penzance and listening to their concerns about the Route Partnership's scheme to build on Battery Rocks beach.

Surely this is what our local MP is for - to listen to the concerns of all his constituents and to aid the resolution of such problems as objections to the Route Partnership's scheme? I have been appalled by the vindictive nature of some of the comments being made by people in positions of authority through the Press, and feel it's time that unfounded recriminations were eliminated from this debate.
