Attractive, Well-Mannered Perennial for Front of Borders ; Plant of the Month

Summary

Patrinia triloba is a plant that has only recently come to the garden at Rosemoor, though when it is in flower it is rather surprising that its arrival took quite so long.

This as a very well-mannered perennial for the front of the border, whose vivid yellow flower heads are ideal for illuminating a moist and shady corner. Though the flowers are individually quite small, they are produced in enough quantity and over a long enough period to give a good extended display. The foliage beneath is palmate and of a bright green, measuring to about 8cm across.
