He first half of 2006 has been (climatically) notably pleasant in Devon and Cornwall for its prolonged periods of calm weather, with stunning mill-pond Atlantic sea/wave conditions and often static wind turbines standing sentinel on the Cornish Downs.

But throughout these months (as always) the awesome tides of the Severn Estuary have, of course, been relentlessly sweeping in and out with absolute regularity and consistency - as indeed they will continue to do for the foreseeable future.
