AS CULTURE Secretary, Ben Bradshaw is the Government's champion for the arts - from film to theatre, the Internet to music. But the Exeter MP could be forgiven for not finding pleasure in every aspect of his brief, and he has admitted that he "doesn't get" heavy metal.

Asked which art form appeals least to him, whether "heavy metal or opera", Mr Bradshaw replied: "You've hit the nail on its metal head. I am definitely more opera (and a lot else) than heavy metal."
