ANY bar or club offering customers the chance to drink as much as they like for a fixed price is condoning drunkenness, whether it admits it or not. And being drunk and disorderly is an offence in itself and can lead to further anti-social or even criminal behaviour.

So Devon and Cornwall police officers are right to crack down on licensed premises in Torbay and elsewhere that promote such all- inclusive deals, warning them they will face increased scrutiny from officers if they don't change their pricing structure.
