THIS Government and opposition parties have not learnt from history that Afghanistan is one, big graveyard for occupying armies. In parallel with Flanders field also in Afghan fields the poppies grow.

We are fed a diet of hypocrisy and lies about this war similar to those fed to us about the Vietnam War. Then the war was justified to stop the spread of communism in south east Asia, the so-called "domino effect" if Vietnam should fall.
