IT'S hard to believe Welsh rockers Funeral for a Friend have been around long enough to be releasing a greatest hits album, yet Your History Is Mine: 2002-2009 is testament not only to their fat back catalogue, but also to a refreshed future that finds their rich, full, melodic and sometimes challenging guitar-led sound in safe hands.

Guitarist Darran Smith agrees that it seems a bit soon for a retrospective, but likes to think of the new collection - complete with charming seaside cover photo from lead singer Matthew Davies' family album - as a way of thanking their loyal fans.
