Low-Carbon Conference Aims at New-Look Farming Systems

Summary

A conference addressing lowcarbon challenges in Cornwall's food and farming sectors is to take place in Wadebridge. The event will be held on November 3 at the Royal Cornwall Showground and is being organised by the Clear About Carbon team, which is part of Duchy College's Rural Business School and aims to break down the barriers to carbon management faced by food production and manufacturing businesses. The conference aims to promote the economic, social and environmental rationale for low carbon business practices. Cornwall's food and farming sector is well placed to reap the financial benefits of carbon management, which this event will demonstrate.

David Rodda, head of Cornwall Agri-Food Council, explained: "Cornwall's Future of Food and Farming event is a must-attend for all businesses involved in the Agri-Food sector in Cornwall. A series of experts from across the UK and Sweden will provide the most up-to-date information on low carbon practices that will undoubtedly become necessary knowledge for the future of business.
