Whilst we are critical over the level and time frame for the public expenditure cutbacks, it is only right we welcome that the legislation to scrap ID cards, which begins its last parliamentary lap with its final stages in the House of Commons on September 15. An utter waste of public money from start to finish ! There are few issues outstanding where the bill could be improved and urge NO2ID campaigners lobby our MPs.
