Elderly people should take up t'ai chi for the sake of their physical and mental health, according to research by Westcountry academics. A study by the Peninsula Medical School at the University of Exeter found that the ancient Chinese exercises can help pensioners avoid fall injuries and improve their psychological wellbeing.
