The Coalition's recent reduction of the Feed-in Tariff for solar energy generation has brought into focus the debate on climate change as well as energy management and generation.
The deadline for all schemes on the current tariff to be completed is today and there is the danger of a policy vacuum appearing in what is an important sector of renewable energy as well as a lack of trust on the Government's intentions. There have been warnings that the cut will be a crushing blow to the emerging renewable energy sector in the South West and jeopardise the UK's ability in attaining carbon reduction targets.See the full content of this document
