AN INNOVATIVE community arts event which has risen from humble beginnings to gain a wide reputation for excellence and raise thousands of pounds for charity is all set for summer, writes Stuart Fraser.

Annual exhibitions at Upton Cross Parish Hall and School, near Liskeard, have married the works of internationally renowned artists with local amateurs, including schoolchildren, created a stage for craft workers to demonstrate their skills, offered home-made refreshments and shown off the work of local groups from poets to the ladies of the WI.
