Summary
BRIDGWATER is a constituency of two halves. While the town itself has a strong Labour movement, suffering the sort of post-industrial deprivation seen in northern centres, the Tory votes stack up in the outlying rural areas.
Stretching from the Somerset Levels to Exmoor, since 2001 the seat has been held by Tory MP Ian Liddell-Grainger - a great-great- great grandson of Queen Victoria and reputedly 323rd in the line of the throne.See the full content of this document
