Council tax bills have risen four times faster than average pensions during the last decade, according to research published yesterday.
The research, conducted by the independent financial advisers Key Retirement Solutions, found that while average pensioner incomes had risen by just over a quarter during the last decade, council tax bills had almost doubled - with the result that more pensioners were being pushed into poverty.See the full content of this document
