Councillors in South Devon have agreed to the closure of a mental health unit despite a 6,000-signature petition to save it.
After hearing a report about the consultation over Watcombe Hall in Torquay, members of Torbay Council's Health Scrutiny Board unanimously agreed the Devon Partnership Trust had properly consulted with councillors, patients and the public and that the proposed changes were in the interest of the local health service.See the full content of this document
