A LONG-AWAITED Government crackdown on disabled parking badge abuse in the Westcountry has been delayed again. Ministers have announced a further consultation on what has been trailed as a radical overhaul of the scheme, with plans to give councils the power to immediately seize stolen or forged blue badges, which can fetch up to Pounds 1,500 on the black market.
The black market hits council revenue and means genuine disabled motorists may find bays blocked by bogus badge users.See the full content of this document
