Once again, the issue of gulls exploiting our increasing outdoor eating habits comes to the fore, and is now before our MPs to agree a cull, it seems. Well, I for one would not vote for an MP who supports such a killing of gulls. Indeed, I would hope he or she would lose their seat.

The gull situation, and too the increase in feral pigeons, urban foxes and the like is due to our modern feeding habits. Stop leaving unwanted food, crumbs and litter about and the problem will go away.
