Intricate designs on a handsome ornamental Cornish range have given a Westcountry engineer the inspiration to start building his own models to stamp his mark on the engineering industry. John Woodward, who trained as an engineer for Holman Brothers in Camborne, believes his future lies in the construction of the Cornish range because engineering is "dying" in Cornwall.
He said: "After restoring a few of the older versions, I decided to have a go at redesigning and I've actually built four brand new ones now. These are the first ones in 70 years. The last ones were made in the early 1930s.See the full content of this document
