Summary
I AM not surprised that the Ministry of Defence is paying Pounds 200,000 a month in house rent when service families who own property in the area are living in married quarters.
I know of a number of such examples, in one case less than a mile from their service home. It's not unknown for their property to be let to another service family who cannot get a married quarter as none are available. These are often at a high rent, which of course is at taxpayers' expense.See the full content of this document
