Summary


Claims that 8,000-year-old Cornish cave paintings show prehistoric women eating pasties have been challenged by an art historian.

Dr Geri Parlby, a lecturer at the University of Exeter, said that Les Morton's suggestion that ancient artwork on the Lizard Peninsula shows an early form of the dish was "a fine example of the Cornish practical joke."
