Summary
A woman was cut free from her vehicle after it was in collision with a refuse lorry. The accident involving the lorry and a Mitsubishi 4x4 happened at about 12.25pm yesterday on an unclassified road at Kit Hill, near Callington in South East Cornwall. Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene after it was reported a woman was trapped. Firefighters cut her free and she was taken to hospital by land ambulance. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Two dogs which were also in the car were taken to a local vet. One of them was injured but it was not known how seriously. The road was closed until just after 2pm.
