Observing the activities of second home owners in my own village, it's clear that holiday time can very easily become a series of chores: mending a gutter, trimming a hedge, clearing a drain, painting window frames.
It's quite a contrast to holiday time Trelowarren, where Phil is maintaining the pool, Jamie's sweeping the tennis court, Karl keeps the lawns trim, Shelley sees to the laundry, and there is a small army of other support staff whose job it is to enable guests to enjoy their stay.
