High profile levels of complaints about delays on Westcountry train services have dented public enthusiasm for the entire rail industry, transport minister Tom Harris said last night.

In an interview with the WMN he said unreliability and overcrowding on First Great Western's trains have been "unacceptable", before insisting things were now getting better.
