Y and large I do not do my weekly supermarket shop clutching a copy of the Lancet. Were I to do so, and had I all the time in the world, no doubt it would be possible to float down the aisles checking if every product I was contemplating buying contained the additives identified in new research that can exacerbate hyperactive behaviour in children.
