Dr jonathan Keenan's team from Plymouth's Derriford Hospital has been named Thrombosis-Prophylaxis Medical Team of the Year at the Hospital Doctor of the Year Awards. The award recognises clinical excellence, teamwork and the best patient care delivered by doctors in this field. Dr Keenan and his team received the award from Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman during a ceremony at Park Lane Hilton Hotel, London, last Thursday.
IT IS panto season again in Buckfastleigh, with tickets on sale for the festive production of Aladdin. The cast and crew are all volunteers from the Buckfastleigh community, with more than 50 adults and children involved. Organisers expect a full house for the shows at Buckfastleigh Town Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, December 5, 7 and 8, with extra matinee shows on the Saturday nd on Sunday, December 9.
