An Exeter business which specialises in hearing aids and audio protection, is marking its 170th year with an exhibition charting its history. Broom Reid & Harris began as a pharmacy and opticians in 1841, expanding into photographic services before establishing a market for the first electronic hearing aids, in 1924.
The business, which was acquired by husband and wife team Curtis and Rowan Alcock, in 2008, is now a dedicated hearing care practice, based in the city's Guildhall Shopping Centre.See the full content of this document
