Summary
FOX in the woods, along the path - a fine sight near home. It was around 11am, so the fox was possibly doing a bit of diurnal hunting, or maybe it has been disturbed from its lair. It looked lean, with a fine coat - a dog fox I felt, from its broad face; then it turned away to go deeper into the woods.
Rarely does one get a second view if the fox knows you are about, especially if it sees a dog with you. But I well recall the day a dog and a fox played, chasing among the trees in a wood as the dog's owner looked on in amazement.
