Summary
I write regarding Simon Parker's interesting article about Cornish counter-tenor Richard Jose (February 26). This strange category of male singers has been around since medieval times, but always on the fringe of other more formal and recognised voice ranges.
But I disagree with the contention of the two Cornish Bards - Messrs Blount and Pengelly - that Dickie Jose is/was "Cornwall's greatest singer", not least in light of the gent's prolonged absence not just from Cornwall but the shores of this country.See the full content of this document
