The exchange rate has been set for the 2010 Single Farm Payment at Pounds 0.86 to the Euro. There have been large fluctuations in the exchange rate throughout the past 12 months, from a high of Pounds 0.94 to the Euro in October last year to a low of Pounds 0.81 last June.
The news of the exchange rate will be met with mixed feelings by farmers, who had a bumper payment last year, when the exchange rate was set just short of Pounds 0.91.See the full content of this document
