The postponement of the East Cornwall due to a waterlogged course at Great Trethew left the West Somerset & Minehead Harriers as the sole surviving Westcountry fixture last weekend.
That meeting only survived after a late inspection. Spectators who braved the elements at Holnicote wallowed in deep, slippery mud. Vehicles were towed in and out of the car park and frequent sharp showers tested even the most ardent point-to-point followers.
