A desperately worried father is appealing to the public for help in an international search for his missing son - with the backing of the country's top family court judge. Michael Turberville has not seen seven-year-old Ashley Skinner since the boy's mother, Joanne Skinner, vanished with him during contested contact proceedings more than a year ago. Now the President of the High Court Family Division, Sir Mark Potter, has lifted reporting restrictions which normally apply to disputes over children in the hope that publicity will help trace Ashley. There is evidence that Ms Skinner, 35, fled abroad and may not have returned to the UK.
