Flasher Is Sought by Town's Police

Summary


Police are appealing for witnesses after a man exposed himself twice to young people in Taunton, Somerset. The first incident took place at about 10pm on Thursday, March 22, as two boys were walking in the Wedlands area. In the second incident, at 3pm the following day, a teenage girl was walking in Lyngford Road, Taunton. The man also tried to grab the girl but she escaped. He is described as in his late forties, 5ft 9in tall and stocky, with short, dark hair. He wore a long, dark leather jacket and thick-rimmed spectacles with tinted lenses.

A BACKPACKER was robbed as he walked along a cycle path near Woodland Close in Whiddon Valley in Barnstaple at about 4pm on Tuesday. The 25-year-old victim was pushed to the ground and his black military-style rucksack was taken. It contained items including a white MP3 player, a silver Toshiba laptop and a black Taurus laptop case. Witnesses can contact police on 08452 777444, quoting crime reference CB/07/1690.
