T turns out this year will truly be one of fond farewells and new beginnings: the arrival of a third baby, having to sell this wonderful cottage, saying goodbye to Devon to move closer to Bristol for the husband's new job, and now it turns out that this column must come to an end.

How does one finish almost three years' worth of ramblings? I have decided I will consider what I have learned since leaving that city flat behind. It's been a pretty steep learning curve, what with being joined on the journey by a husband, another dog and two daughters, no doubt another on the way.
