Summary
This is a big year for the Two Moors Festival. Initially created to put a smile on the faces of a Westcountry community ravaged by foot and mouth, it is now a nationally renowned series of classical music events. This year's ten-day programme is the most ambitious since it started in 2001.

From Tragedy Comes a Musical Triumph
Over the duration of the festival - which runs between October 13 and 22 - some of the best-known works of composers Schubert, Nielsen and Strauss will be performed by world-class musicians.
