MORE than 1,000 fisherfolk and their families gathered at St Mary's Church, Brixham, on Thursday to celebrate the life of skipper John Andrew Sanders, who died last week at the age of 51.
Locally known as the Colonel - one of the Westcountry's most outstanding fishermen, and famed for his comedy and antics - he was one of the youngest skippers to receive his Class I ticket, at the age of 20.See the full content of this document
