Summary
READING Martin Hesp's article on basking sharks and the need to respect their space reminded me of an incident on April 5, when I was travelling in a car around the coast road to Rame Head and my friend spotted a group of 10 small cetaceans about half a mile off Freathy beach.
On reaching my cabin above Polhawn Cove, my daughter and I again picked up the group through binoculars and it was evident that they were feeding. Before long, two small boats were making their way at some speed towards the animals and eventually got so close as to disrupt the feeding and the pod was forced to leave, making its way around the headland toward Plymouth Sound.See the full content of this document
