THIS has been a good month for looking to the heavens. A few weeks ago the Perseids meteor shower gave a grand display of up to 80 shooting stars an hour blazing across the heavens (cloud and mist permitting). Shooting stars are in reality specks of dirt burning up as they hit the Earth's atmosphere.
That sounds mundane but the eye-catching display as each one burns while travelling at 112,000 miles an hour is not easily forgotten.See the full content of this document
