Halloween Horror for Half-Term Week

Summary

Ghouls, ghosts and long-legged beasties are all on offer from this weekend when National Trust properties across Cornwall celebrate Hallowe'en with a spooky line-up of activities for the family over the half-term holiday. For those who like spine- chilling stories, there are All Hallows Eve guided tours at Lanhydrock, near Bodmin. Lanhydrock will also be holding a pumpkin lantern walk. For those who want to do their ghost hunting indoors, Cotehele, near Saltash, will be holding a Halloween horrors evening and Trelissick, near Truro, is offering a Hallowe'en workshop. For full details of half-term activities, visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk

THE role of international law courts in bringing dictators to justice will be discussed at a public seminar in Exeter tomorrow. The keynote speaker will be Judge Howard Morrison QC OBE, formerly defence counsel at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. The seminar will be held at the University of Exeter. To book a place, call 0207 421800.
