Helicopter Rescue Fleet Faces 33% Cut

A DEAL to privatise search-and-rescue emergency services will see the number of helicopters slashed by a third.

The Ministry of Defence said that the existing 38 aircraft across the country - mostly Sea Kings - would be replaced by as few as 24 new helicopters, provided by a private consortium.
