Once again, I cannot but agree with my Cornish friend Tommy Bray on two counts. I consider this scenario on 'second homes' a disgrace. What chance do our Cornish born and bred youngsters have? It must cut them to the quick when circulating around they see so many houses fitting the bill 'second home'. Whilst I deplore youngsters - as with the tuition fees - causing mayhem on the streets, just imagine what would happen if they took umbrage and followed suit with 'second homes'.

On another note, like Tommy, I have seen the figures of some MPs who have access to the trough again. Our Westcountry MPs are not exempt it seems. They have, collectively, claimed Pounds 150,000 in expenses since the coalition has come to power. I cannot believe how rapidly some of the newly elected MPs have jumped on the gravy train.
