One of the most hotly tipped bands on the thriving Cornwall music scene head over the Tamar tonight to make their mark at Plymouth's Hub. In their short 12-month history the Noel Prior Band have turned heads from Penzance to Edinburgh with a bag of deliciously listenable, singalong folky acoustic rock and in 2007 they look set to stage an assault on major record labels.
The band's songs come from the pen of guitarist, singer and frontman Noel Prior, who recorded and released his second album, Inside Out Outside In, with no immediate ambition to form a band or tour. But the tracks made such an instant impact on all who heard them that he soon found himself on the road with a bassist (originally Rob Carter, now Harry Mackaill), drummer (Liam Jolly) and, latterly, a keyboard player (Toby Seth).See the full content of this document
