Summary
Hugh Cornwell has been a lone rider for longer now than he held the position of guitarist, singer and main songwriter with The Stranglers, but still people associate him with the band. It probably has much to do with the band's 21 Top 40 singles which he had a major hand in penning - tunes such as Golden Brown, Peaches and Strange Little Girl. Often you will find those on his musical menu as he tours the world, as well as songs from his highly acclaimed solo albums, but on his latest outing - including a date in Exeter this weekend - he is concentrating his efforts on sharing the tracks on his latest long player Hooverdam, which was released as a free download. He will be joined on stage by Chris Bell on drums and Caroline Campbell on bass guitar.
