A ROYAL Marine who was depressed at being removed from active duties used stolen travel warrants to make free train journeys, a court heard.

William Russell, 22, formerly with 42 Commando based at Bickleigh Barracks in Plymouth, admitted 11 counts of fraud, taking train trips worth Pounds 1,300.
