Torquay United's new striker Billy Kee unlocked Weymouth's defence with a secondhalf hat-trick as Paul Buckle's Gulls kicked off their pre-season programme with an emphatic 5-1 win at south- coast rivals Weymouth on Saturday.

Buckle - who last season identified Kee as his number one summer transfer target - said: "For his first game, I thought Billy showed what a natural finisher he is. He worked hard. I'm sure our supporters are going to love him." The former Leicester City striker struck in the 57th, 72nd and 83rd minutes as United - who led 1-0 at half-time - coasted to victory.
