New report has been published which concludes girls are far more likely to thrive, get GCSEs and stay in education if they go to a single sex school. The research, which was carried out on behalf of The Good Schools Guide, confirms what many of us have known for a long time.

Education that is specifically tailored to meet girls' needs, whether in the state or private sector, is far better than the co- educational model.
