The South West has missed out on Government funding for major transport schemes because it has not been "punching its weight", according to Geoff Hoon's ministerial aide.
Alison Seabeck, Labour MP for Plymouth Devonport and parliamentary private secretary to the Transport Secretary, argued the South West had not done as well as it should when it came to securing cash for rail projects, blaming the lack of a "united front" on priorities among South West MPs.See the full content of this document
